We're all human, sometimes we smell a little funny or we cook something that's a little off. That's where carbon prefilters come in. The little chunks of carbon in the prefilter grab onto the volatiles that make the air smell funky and trap them. However, depending on your level of body odor or your love of aromatic foods, you may need to change the prefilter out more than the regular filter. That's why this kit comes with 8 prefilters. It contains everything needed for two complete filter changes. Use as many as you need in the 90 days between normal filter changes, nobody here is going to judge. Your pets or kids might, but we won't.
