A Merv rating is not a rating of how funny your filter is. Rather it stands for Minimum Efficiency Reporting Value, which rates how effective a filter is. This MERV-8 rated filter is a high grade filter, also meant for use in industrial workplaces. It can catch spores, mold, pet dander, and pudding mix, which must have been really fun to test out in the lab. In any case, using this filter for your air system will definitely ease your allergy symptoms and stop you from trying to breath in dry jello pudding.
