Keeping your pool filter clean is essential to ensuring your health and the health of anyone else who uses it. Ensuring the filter operates clearly isn't difficult, but it does require ongoing maintenance. First, rinse the filter every week and then inspect it for damage. One thing you need to pay special attention to is the center core of the cartridge. If there is any sort of damage to the center, you need to replace the cartridge immediately. Otherwise, your pool filter should stay good for one to two years.
