Accessibility Statement
We want everyone to be able to find the right part, check that it fits, and order it on thinkcrucial.com, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard, voice control, screen magnification or other assistive technology.
Our goal
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. We're not there everywhere yet. The parts we know fall short are listed under "Known limitations" below.
What we tested, and when
On October 1, 2026, we tested the site's key page templates: the homepage, a collection page, product pages in our newer and older layouts, the cart page and cart drawer, search results (including a search with no results), the email sign-up window, the model number guide, the FAQ, shipping and returns, the refund policy, the "page not found" page and this statement. We tested each one on a desktop screen 1280 pixels wide and a mobile screen 375 pixels wide, and checked that the layouts still work at 320 pixels wide.
We used an automated checker (axe-core) and also checked by hand: getting from the homepage to checkout with only a keyboard, visible focus, the names and roles that assistive technology reads, color contrast on a sample of text and controls, the size of links and buttons on mobile, and reduced motion. We tested page templates, not every individual page, and we haven't yet tested with screen readers such as VoiceOver, NVDA or JAWS.
What we have done
- The tested templates have a "Skip to content" link and one main heading.
- The cart drawer, sign-up window and menus work with a keyboard: focus moves into them, stays inside while they're open, returns to where you were when they close, and the Escape key closes them.
- When you add an item or change a quantity, the cart sends an announcement to screen readers with the new item count and subtotal.
- The model number finder on our homepage works with the arrow keys and announces how many parts match.
- Form fields on the tested templates have labels, and error messages are marked so screen readers can announce them.
- On mobile, links and buttons on the tested templates are at least 24 by 24 pixels.
- Animations follow your device's reduced-motion setting, and the review carousel doesn't move on its own.
Known limitations
- Some features come from other companies and we can't change their code: customer reviews and the review carousel (Judge.me), the cookie and privacy banner (Shopify) and the review badge (Google). We style them where we can, but we couldn't fully test what's inside them.
- Checkout and Shop Pay are hosted by Shopify. We checked that you can reach checkout with a keyboard, but we can't change the checkout pages.
- A few older product pages had installation videos with only YouTube's automatic captions. We're having those captions reviewed and corrected. Until that's done, we don't play those videos on our product pages; where we can, we link to the video on YouTube instead.
- Some older product descriptions and policy text were written for other places and may skip heading levels.
- Text over photos or color gradients can't be checked for contrast automatically. We checked a sample by hand.
If any of these get in your way, contact us and we'll help you another way, such as by email.
