Grout discolouration is usually not dirt sitting on top — it is soap scum and hard-water mineral locked into the pores. Bleach lightens the stain without removing what anchors it, which is why the colour comes back within weeks.
This concentrate attacks the mineral scaffold instead. 32% citric acid breaks down the calcium that holds staining in place, and a plant-derived decyl glucoside surfactant wets the pores so the acid can get in. One 8 fl oz bottle dilutes 5:1 into 48 fl oz of ready-to-spray cleaner.
Features:
- 8 uses per bottle – Dilutes 5 to 1, expanding one 8 fl oz bottle into 48 fl oz of ready-to-spray cleaner — roughly eight monthly cleanings.
- Four simple ingredients – Citric acid, decyl glucoside, sodium citrate and water. You will see it effervesce as mineral scale and soap scum break down.
- Bleach-free and chlorine-free – No fumes and no bleaching action to fade coloured grout or shower door seals.
- Cleans and lifts in one pass – The surfactant wets the pores so the citric acid can penetrate, instead of needing a separate pre-clean.
- Works on most bathroom surfaces – Ceramic, porcelain, fibreglass, acrylic, vinyl tile, caulk and rubber seals. Made in the USA.
How to use:
- Mix 1 fl oz of concentrate with 5 fl oz of water in a spray bottle.
- Spray the tile, grout or caulk and let it dwell.
- Agitate with a brush where buildup is heavy.
- Rinse thoroughly with clean water.
Not for marble, limestone, travertine or unsealed natural stone. Test an inconspicuous area first.
