Full product description
White flakes in the bottom of the kettle, a boil that takes longer than it used to, and water that tastes faintly off. That is calcium carbonate on the heating element, and it gets worse the longer it sits.
This is a 35% citric acid concentrate built specifically for kettles rather than a coffee descaler repurposed for one. Food-grade, non-toxic, rinses completely clean, and safe on stainless, glass and BPA-free plastic. Two tablespoons per descale, 15 descales per 16 fl oz bottle.
Features:
- Fits most electric kettles – Breville Smart Kettle, Fellow Stagg EKG and EKG Pro, Cuisinart CPK-17, KitchenAid KEK series, Hamilton Beach, Mueller, COSORI, OXO Brew and Zojirushi. Suits stainless, glass and BPA-free plastic.
- 15 uses per bottle – One 16 fl oz bottle covers 15 full descaling cycles at the 2-tablespoon dose, against the 4 to 5 uses typical of standard bottles.
- Food-safe citric acid – Food-grade, non-toxic and rinses completely clean — appropriate for a kettle used daily for tea and coffee. No sulfamic acid and no residue.
- Kettle-specific chemistry – Formulated for the calcium carbonate that causes white flakes, slow boils and off-tasting water. The CO2 fizzing when you pour it in is the reaction working.
- Two ingredients – Citric acid and water. Made in the USA.
How to use:
