Find the model number
It's on the label under the drip tray or on the back of the machine, for example EP3241.

Remove the AquaClean filter
Take it out before descaling and store it in water.

Run the descale cycle
Run the machine's descale cycle, rinse, then put the filter back.

Q.01Is this made by Philips?

No. It's our own formula, made by Think Crucial. It isn't made, sold or endorsed by Philips, and Think Crucial isn't affiliated with Philips. The brand name only shows what it's for.

Q.02Where is it made?

In the USA. Think Crucial makes it to its own formula.

Q.03When should I descale?

Quarterly, or when the CALC/CLEAN light comes on.

Q.04Do I remove the AquaClean filter?

Yes. Remove it before descaling, store it in water, and reinstall it after the rinse.

Q.05How many descales per bottle?

7 per 16 fl oz bottle, at 22.2 g of citric acid per cycle.

Q.06Does it fit older Philips models like the 2200?

Not listed. It's made for the 3200, 4300 and 5400 LatteGo and the Saeco Incanto and Xelsis. For the 2200 or another model, email us your model number before you order.

Q.07What if it doesn't work with my machine?

If it doesn't work with the machine we list, email support@thinkcrucial.com and we'll refund it. You don't need to send it back. Unopened bottles can also be returned within 30 days of delivery.

Think Crucial started in 2007 at a family vacuum repair shop. Today we're a U.S. company in Hollywood, Florida, making descalers and cleaners for the appliances you already own, alongside our aftermarket filters, bags and parts. Every bottle is made in the USA, and each one says which machines it's for and how much to use.
