    The IKEA FÖRNUFTIG runs a two-stage system: a pleated particle filter for dust and a separate activated carbon layer for odors. Both wear out, and replacing only one leaves half the job undone. This Think Crucial set replaces both at once — IKEA Article #10461944 (particle filter) and #40487283 (carbon layer) — so your purifier goes back to full capability in a single swap.

    The particle layer is pleated non-woven media that captures household dust, pet dander, and pollen. The activated carbon layer is a honeycomb structure with a high-density carbon fill that adsorbs kitchen odors, smoke, pet smells, and the VOCs that come off paints and cleaning products. Installation is tool-free: lift out the old pair, drop in the new pair, close the unit.
