The Bissell Zing Lightweight is so portable and colorful, you might like it just for its looks. As Zing owners agree: it packs a lot of punch into a compact 7.5 lb package. Perfect for small homes, apartments, and use on multiple floors, it features a grab-and-go handle and a generous 15 feet of cord that allows users to cover lots of ground and reach deep into corners with its hand attachments.

Zing Lightweight owners appreciate the ease it adds to cleaning bare floors, as well as handling above-floor cleaning with terrific suction. If you’re new to the series, you may not be familiar with how it accomplishes such efficient cleaning.

Bissell’s petite canister model utilizes both pre-motor and post-motor filters to help capture fine dust and particles, as well as the easy-to-replace disposable bags. Filters are washable and reusable - good to know in the average American household, where people spend 87% of their time indoors, and air quality matters.

Replacing the bags on your Zing is something you’ll be doing often to keep the machine’s powerful suction at peak levels. And since it’s so easy to use, you may find that you’re vacuuming more than ever! Bissell has made the process simple.

Removing the Old Bag

Remove the vacuum cleaner’s old and used bag by following the steps to completion below.

Step 1: Turn off the machine and unplug it from the electrical outlet. If you’ll be moving about the area for a bit, go ahead and utilize the retractable cord feature to ensure that there is no extra cord lying around that could trip someone up.

Step 2: Make sure that the vacuum is resting on the floor in its regular working position, wheels down.

Step 3: Pull up on the handle that is located on top of the canister at the front. This will expose the paper bag.

Step 4: Push the cardboard collar on the top of the bag towards the back of the vacuum, sliding it out of the plastic retaining clips. Don’t use too much force: if the bag is extremely full, it may release dust.

Step 5: Dispose of the old bag.

Installing the New Bag

Now it is time for you to follow the next steps below and install the vacuum bag in your BISSELL Zing Lightweight vacuum.

Step 1: Take the new bag and slide the cardboard collar into the retaining clips, starting from the back.

Step 2: Ensure that the collar is seated firmly and evenly into the clips

Step 3: Close the canister door.

Changing your Zing Lightweight’s bags is also the perfect time to check and clean the pre and post-motor filters. The pre-motor filter is located just under the vacuum cleaner bag, and can be accessed while you have it removed. The post-motor filter is found on the back of the machine, and is reached by lifting its grill cover. Both filters can be washed in mild detergent and should be allowed to dry for 24 hours before replacing in the unit.

Final Thoughts

Keeping your Bissell Zing Lightweight functioning well is easy with frequent bag changes. Be sure to always keep spares on hand to make it a quick, efficient job, and you’ll always be ready to tidy up quickly.
